Type 2 DC Surge Protective Device for PV System
Zivopower Type 2 DC Surge Protective Device is developed for photovoltaic power supply systems to protect
DC-side equipment against lightning surge currents and transient overvoltage. It is suitable for use in PV
installations where reliable surge protection is required for terminal devices such as solar panels, string
boxes, and inverters.
This product series is available in 600VDC, 1000VDC, and 1500VDC versions, with a maximum discharge current
of 40kA. It adopts a pluggable modular design for convenient installation and maintenance, and is designed
for parallel installation on the DC networks to be protected.

Applications
This DC SPD is suitable for photovoltaic solar applications and is typically installed on the DC side
of the system to protect equipment such as solar panels and inverters. It is recommended for use at both
ends of the DC power supply line, especially where cable routing is external or the line length is long.
